Practical:
In Week 5, you interviewed someone and wrote a short article using their speech. Return to this interview, and write that speech as a very short 30 second audio/visual script
(ie. When you read the script, it takes 30 seconds from start to finish).
You can use a single or two column format.
Find a template on line and use this as the basis of your formatting (ensure you reference or link this so we can see what you are using).
Post your script to your blog.
Here is my template: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/shared/bsp/hi/pdfs/30_08_06worksheet3.2.pdf
And here is my Script"
"The things most important to me are my Mother, Halloween and acting. I love my mother because she is kind, sweet and she reads to me every night. Each year we go to the Heritage village for Halloween. I love Dressing up and putting on make-up the most. I also love acting. Recently I helped my mother with a movie segment. I dressed up and acted scared while running and jumping, with only voices for cues. It was fun. I hurt my knee, but it was worth it."
I used the 3 column template and the above is exactly 90 words. It is based on the interview that can be found here.
When I read this week's task, I thought it was to ensure that the words took only 30 seconds, but covered the all topics discussed.
When I read this week's task, I thought it was to ensure that the words took only 30 seconds, but covered the all topics discussed.
Since then I have discovered that this is more like what Digital Media students covered in their first term in Audio and Visual.
So I have redone this weeks task but instead of using the interview from week 5, I am going to use the interview that I did for my event because there is more to work with.
Note: I have made up my own template for this task.
During the readings, Ames (2014) discussed the power behind a speech and mentioned a number of famous speeches over the years; Hitler, Martin Luther King and the Kennedys to name a few. I would like to leave everyone with a speech that moved me. It is not one that many would have heard of because this speech was only delivered this week.
It is powerful. And I hope will go down in history as the speech that moved the world.

candidates, but their families.

“Teys meatworks have come on board they’re
sponsoring part of the day with $10,000 going towards the costs of today and
as a major employer of a lot multicultural staff they came on board to assist

Continuing on from above but place the TEYS Logo on the bottom corner of the

“Good
morning Ladies and Gentlemen, distinguished guests. The personal significance of your decision

Deputy Mayor addressing the crowd:

“…is certainly not underestimated. And we recognise, that for some of you, it
may not have been an easy journey that brought you to your new citizenship. I commend you for your courage, in leaving
behind your loved ones to make a new life in Australia."
|
Shot change to slowly pan the crowd as the last words are being
spoken.
|
NOTE after this other speakers address the crowd but I have not included them in this because it is supposed to only take 30 seconds. |
NOTE: I realise that this speech is longer than 30 seconds however I was going off the video produced by Kate and wanted to ensure finality to this sequence.
