What seems to ‘make the news’ on Storify? Can you see the usefulness of this as a way to tell stories? If so, how? If not, why not?
This week we were asked to look at Storify and create our own story. Storify will be used in assessment two so taking time now to understand how it is used is very important. There is nothing worse than having amazing ideas but lacking the technical skills to put it all together.
My idea for assessment two is actually an event that is on social media (Instagram) as well as real life so in my case, storify will be a very useful tool.
I have created my Storify account and put a few 'tweets' together to see how it all worked. Very cool... I can bring in all sorts of posts from various social media channels, not just from Twitter as I had first thought.
Then I went and had a look at other people's Storify curations. I was particularly interested in the one below. I went through and clicked on links and found more people to follow just from this collection of posts by this one person on Storify. Then I thought, 'Mmmm who put this all together? I should follow them...'
I was taken aback when I saw who the author was.
Can you guess who created the Story below?
And here is my Very First Storify

You are right indeed, very interesting story (Storify example above). Your writing style before the Storify piece is sophisticated and concise. I also agreed with the statement you made about Storify and Media alike, "There is nothing worse than having amazing ideas but lacking the technical skills to put it all together." Very true.
