Using the full spectrum of colours over a simple image, the company “Apple” has one of the most recognised trademarks in the world.
With just three words and an image, visitors to the Apple
website know that the new iPhone 6 is the largest mobile phone created so far.
The most prominent part of the design of their current
website is the literal use of white space. This enables the simple words, written in easy
to read font, and simple images, to stand out to the visitor.
Clicking on the first image of the iPhone 6
the visitor is taken to another page that displays more information.
A series of photos with short grabs gives the
visitor a more in depth look than the very first page of the site, but still
does not bombard the user with paragraphs of information.
More information is available with the click of
a link.
In keeping with the theme of the site I am reviewing (Apple), I have used concrete words and made use of the KISS principal to explain the qualities of this website.

Hi Vicki,
ReplyDeleteYour review is really good, I'm wondering if you were to rate the iPhone 6, what would it be out of ten?
I'm not much of an 'apple' fan but I like Samsung, I find their touch phones, computers and TVs more user friendly and easy to navigate.
I guess it all boils down to our personal preferences. :-)
Cheers, Anna.

Hi Anna,
ReplyDeletePsst... Wanna know a secret? Up until ten weeks ago I had never owned a smart phone before. And, the one I purchased was a Samsung S5. I have never owned anything Mac or Apple and since the demise of Steve Jobs, I doubt I ever will...
Apple's logo and website was just a really great example of the learnings for this week, which is why I chose it.
Thanks for your comment.
